Mastech Digital provides associates with paid time off (PTO) from work. PTO may be taken for any reason, including vacation, sick days or other personal time away from work.
Salaried Office associates are eligible to accrue PTO from the inception of employment. Based upon the months of service with Mastech Digital, eligible associates accrue PTO on the following schedule:
PTO accrues after close of business on the last day of each month (for the current month’s accrual) and is available for use the first day of the following month.
For new hires, the first month of accrual is prorated based on the number of days in your first month of employment. You will earn 0.285 hours (8.67 x 12 months = 104.04 annual PTO hours / 365 days per year) per day of accrual. For example, if you are hired on June 10 you will accrue PTO for 20 employment days in June on July 1 for a total of 5.7 hours (0.285 x 20 days).
Salaried Associates who work on a reduced efforts basis are eligible to accrue PTO in proportion to the number of hours they are regularly scheduled to work.
Associates may not accrue PTO during unpaid leaves of absence or other periods of inactive service.
Each associate may accrue up to a maximum of 120 hours of PTO. Once an associate reaches the maximum accrual amount, the associate will not accrue any additional PTO until the associate uses some of his or her accrued but unused PTO and the associate’s accrued but unused PTO decreases to below the maximum accrual amount. No associate will receive retroactive credit for any period of time in which that associate did not accrue PTO because he or she had accrued the maximum amount.
All associates are encouraged to take their accrued PTO each calendar year. Associates must take PTO in increments of at least one (1) hour. Associates must request PTO from their Manager as far in advance as possible but at least ten (10) business days in advance of a planned leave lasting more than three (3) business days. Mastech Digital generally will grant requests for PTO, when possible, taking business needs into consideration.
Associates may carry over accrued but unused PTO to the subsequent calendar year up to a maximum of 120 hours. On termination of employment, for any reason, associates will be paid for any accrued but unused PTO at the associate’s final rate of pay.
